Who is suitable for CK treatment?

Just answer these three questions:

bullet1. Are you over 45?
bullet2. Have you always had great distance vision?
bullet3. Do you wish you didn't need your reading glasses?

If so, you are a perfect candidate for CK - and most likely you will only need one eye treating. You will use both eyes to see just as well for the distance, and yet also be able to read. 97% of all people having CK for reading vision alone get full 20/20 distance vision, AND can read newspapers, books, labels, menus etc easily without glasses! They can read this screen too!

If you need glasses to read this, then CK is for YOU.

In summary:

Candidates for CK must be over 45 years of age and have either:

bulletNeed reading glasses only, with normal distance vision
bulletLongsightedness between +0.75 and +3.00 dioptres

You must also NOT have any of the following:

bulletBe pregnant or nursing
bulletPrevious vision surgery
bulletSignificant changes in vision for one year
bulletAny chronic eye disorders
bulletAny chronic illness or disease

You will need a full consultation and eye examination with either Mr. Allamby or Mr. Heaven to know if you are suitable for CK treatment

If you are shortsighted, CK is not suitable.

You may be treated with either LASEK or LASIK depending on your prescription and anatomy of your eyes.
